McLaren's Midlands & North team are looking to bring on board a Proposals Coordinator to support our work-winning efforts in the region. The overall purpose of the role will be to create content for work winning tenders, take ownership of selection questionnaires working alongside Bid Managers and to create/format the final bid document in Adobe Indesign.

Construction industry experience would be highly beneficial, however candidates with relevant skills and experience as a Proposals Coordinator working within other sectors will be considered.

The role will report in to our Midlands & North Pre-construction Manager and will involve working alongside the marketing, estimating and delivery teams on a daily basis. This is a full time, hybrid role, with some time required in the Birmingham office and at other times (when not needed to be on site), will be via remote working.

Role and responsibilities - Primary Proposals Coordination activities

Produce answers to standard quality section for selection questionnaires and Coordinate quality answers from technical team for ITT questions Identify site issues, key stakeholders and client drivers and incorporate into delivery strategy within the written submission Proofread documents for grammar, tenses and completeness Gather ideas from the technical team for mid tender and post tender interviews Take ownership of case studies narrative and updating CVs Attend mid-bid reviews and settlement meetings Help to ensure final tender are fully compliant with the tender requirements Help maintain library of suitable written content

Role and responsibilities - Other admin/support activities

Assist in preparation of mid and post tender responses/presentations Work with the Estimating team in monitoring portals for clarifications/emails and issue to the team Ensure the bid library is updated Contribute to Precon/Comms meetings to share knowledge with the wider bid team Assist Proposal Manager/Bid Manager in continually improving the quality of submission

Required Qualifications / Expertise:

A degree or equivalent qualification is desirable (or relevant Proposals Coordinator experience of over 3 years in the industry) Preferably experience of working as a Proposals Coordinator or Bid Executive in the Construction sector, ideally for a Tier 1 Main Contractor Experience of completing PQQ's and proofreading Firm grasp of grammar and accuracy and attention to detail Proven IT and Adobe InDesign skills Excellent communication skills; written and verbal Ability to juggle multiple priorities within demanding timescales * Able to work effectively as a member of the Pre-construction team
