What will you contribute?

Contributing to all IFRS compliance matters across the group including setting and maintaining the Group Accounting Policies Manual and ensuring compliance with all technical accounting issuesTo contribute to and develop the Group Control Framework to ensure consistency of accounting application and the appropriateness of accounting judgements applied

Responsibilities & Deliverables:

Assessing, documenting and resolving the accounting impacts of significant and complex transactions in advance of contract execution to optimize outcomes for FinastraLeading all leasing accounting related topics, including resolution of all leasing accounting queries, month end, quarter end and year end deal reviews, advanced contract review prior to signatureLead the accounting hotline, adhering to agreed service levelsPrepare key working papers ensuring judgements/issues are appropriate and reported upon where necessaryMonitoring policy developments from the IASB and FASB, assessing any impact on the group and recommending accounting policies and disclosure improvements through chairing the quarterly Accounting CommitteeContribute to external financial reporting in order to ensure IFRS compliance including liaising with auditors as requiredDraft presentations related to accounting matters to be discussed with the Executive Leadership Team and the Audit CommitteeClose liaison with the accounting shared service center and regional finance managers to cascade accounting compliance across the organization and ensuring subsidiary companies can reverse group IFRS where local requirements diverge from IFRSWorking with internal stakeholders such as Tax and Company Secretarial on financial reporting matters at Group and local levels to ensure accounting matters are dealt with promptly and communicated to avoid unnecessary surprisesLeading accounting work streams in systems migrations and adoptions including IFRS15 and IFRS16 automation

Required Experience:

n depth working knowledge of IFRS15 (and ASC606) and IFRS16 (and ASC842) including an understanding of legacy standards, IASB (and FASB) policy development, and the IFRS15 transition resource group guidance

  • Relevant experience working as part of a project team adopting IFRS 9/15/16 with exposure to accounting software implementations
  • Experience of software and financial services is required
  • Qualified Accountant with broad working knowledge of IFRS and an awareness of USGAAP
  • High degree of computer proficiency, particularly Microsoft Excel and general ledger software
