For the successful candidate this position could potentially turn into a full time role and a chance to build a long term career within this fantastic company.25 days holidayOvertime available at time and a halfOnsite CanteenExcellent public transport networkOnsite parking availablePotential full time position available on completion of the 6 month work placement25 hours for the first 4 weeks trial and based on experience paying up to £13.00 per hour, following trial there is a potential to increase hours of work to 39 hoursJob duties and responsibilities:Oversees machinery setup to make sure arrangement is safe and ready to handle its assigned loadLoads material into machinesCuts, grinds, or drills materials in machine as needed by adjusting speed, the path of the cut, and other factorsPerforms work by following the company's operating standards and international regulationsRegularly inspects machines for mechanical and safety issuesMakes sure machines remain well-stocked so that as few interruptions of service as possible existVerifies inventory and places orders as necessaryExamines machinery production output to verify the product is acceptable to move onto the next part of the production processMaintains and updates records about the machine's operations and the team's overall performanceKeeps skills sharp by reading up on machinery features and attending safety and other courses to enhance on-the-job operationsKeeps a focus on safety by helping others to conduct themselves appropriately around operating machineryWorks a flexible schedule to keep up with production demand during busy production periodsPays constant attention to surroundings to reduce accidents and injuriesWorks cordially with team membersPast experience and qualifications required * Experience would be preferred but not essentialTraining: * Training in programming and CNC machiningTo apply: * This job invitation is specifically restricted to candidates that are currently unemployed and eligible to apply for roles under the DWP Kickstart Scheme. * You should be aged between 16 and 24 years of age to apply. * All applicants must be currently registered as unemployed and receiving Universal Credit * We invite applications from all candidates wishing to consider this role. * To apply simply respond to this job advertisement and we will be in contact with you shortly
