Are you a qualified accountant looking for the next step in your career? If yes this is an exciting opportunity to work for a driven and motivated senior accountant to become Assistant Manager

I am currently looking to speak with a Senior accountant that is looking to step up to an Assistant Manager role within a buzzing top 50 accountancy practice. Within the role you will be joining the Media and Entertainment team, working with an exciting range of clients from recording artists to TV personalities. As Assistant Manager will be working closely with the teams Partner and Manager and ensure work is produced to deadlines as well and act as a role model for junior members of the team.

My client is based within Central London and currently have a hybrid working policy in place. They offer a wide range of benefits from medical insurance to cycle to work schemes as well as competitive market rate salaries.

As Assistant Manager you will be ACA or ACCA qualified and have at least four years' experience within an accountancy practice, in a client facing role. You will be managing the day-to-day bookkeeping, VAT, financial reporting and budgeting for clients. Experience working with clients from the Media and Entertainment sector is desirable but not essential for this position, however an interest and motivation for this sector is necessary.

  • Working with the team managers and partners to ensure that statutory deadlines and requirements for accounts, tax, VAT and that any other areas of financial compliance are met
  • Preparation of year end accounts and assisting with completing P11Ds, company, personal and partnership returns
  • Preparation and review of VAT returns
  • Handling all aspects of the clients financial and personal affairs
  • Preparation and assistance with tour budgets and tour accounting including reconciliation of tour settlements
  • Keeping the team Managers and Partners up to date on workload, client issues or concerns and managing their input as appropriate
  • General administration
