Our Capital Markets, Accounting Advisory & Structuring Services team (CMAS) is a rapidly growing deals business that supports our clients through moments of exceptional change - whether that is through managing new risks, growth, capital and debt raising, divestitures, stress, or business transformation.
Within CMAS, the Accounting & Reporting Advisory team is a leading provider of advisory services to clients that are operating in an increasingly complex and rapidly changing environment. This includes helping them to navigate through accounting and financial reporting challenges resulting from deals, regulatory changes or complexity in accounting, and non-financing reporting issues such as ESG and integrated reporting. We also help our clients build smarter, more effective, technology enabled finance functions.
We are recruiting Senior Managers to join our fast growing and high performing Accounting & Reporting Advisory team to support our continued growth plans. This team draws on specialist technical skills and experience in accounting and financial reporting, along with a problem solving, collaborative approach to support clients through the increasing demands their businesses face.
This is an exciting time to join the team which has aggressive growth plans driven by the change in the regulatory environment and new technologies.
About the role
You will be utilising your technical accounting background to manage projects delivering accounting advisory and consultancy services to some of the world’s most iconic companies, helping them navigate accounting complexity within the following areas:
Preparation of historical financial information ahead of IPO or dual track exit
Accounting and reporting support in relation to M&A Due Diligence activities (including preparation carve out financial statements)
Post deal integration including GAAP conversions and support purchase price allocation
Complex accounting where you could be advising on some of the most challenging areas of the accounting standards including pensions, share based payments, financial instruments, consolidation, revenue recognition, leases and technology cost accounting.
You will be helping us develop products and services which can help us more effectively service our clients in the above areas and building relationships with clients and the PwC network to help us continue to expand our growing business.

Essential Skills / Experience
Qualified Chartered Accountant with a strong technical and practical knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP reporting standards
Consulting, Advisory or audit experience
Intellectually curious with a willingness to challenge yourself and learn new skills
Strong project management skills with the ability to manage time, prioritise tasks and produce deliverables of a high quality
Strong oral communication and written communication and report writing skills
Ability to successfully collaborate with internal and external stakeholder groups
An ability and desire to learn new skills working in unfamiliar industries/environments
Ability to build and maintain business relationships
Desirable
Experience of working on accounting change or finance transformation projects
Good understanding of the workings of a finance function, key issues and challenges faced with relevant experience from global or FTSE 250 organisations
Experience working in a deals environment
