Your new role, what's involved?
  • Collaborating with diverse teams to help embed a culture of sustainable continuous improvement
  • Learning about, experimenting with and implementing the latest lean and continuous improvement theories, techniques, and practices
  • Implementing WSP's evolving Lean Project Delivery methodology, our Clients and Partners

  • You'll work on high-profile public and private projects in both design and construction phases in the UK and potentially around the globe.
  • We are a growing team, and our goal is to help dramatically improve the productivity curve and outcomes of design and construction projects whether that's in highways, rail building or other market sectors.
  • We work on some of WSP's most high-profile programmes including the SMP Alliance, HS2 and we have implemented lean within the $40bn the Local Roads and Drainage Programme in Qatar
  • You will be mentored to help develop your ISO 18404 Lean Leader portfolio
  • Based in the Mailbox, just 5 minutes from the heart of Birmingham City you'll be working in a vibrant and contemporary office space.
  • What's more you'll also be part of a team that puts learning and action at the heart of everything we do!

We'd love to hear from you if you have:
  • Experience working within the design and construction sector as an engineer and/or construction manager or equivalent discipline
  • Experience participating in and implementing lean within design and/or construction projects
  • Prepared or been involved in project programming and scheduling
  • Evidence of your role in and associated results of implementing lean thinking and techniques on design and/or construction projects
  • Experience how to prepare for and facilitate lean workshops and training events
  • Experience overcoming obstacles deploying lean
  • The ability to engage leadership in lean deployment
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with teams and bring them together
