Salary: £25k - £35k
Hours: 9.30am – 5.30pm (however hours may vary due to projects and meetings)
Travel: Potentially National or International travel may be expected therefore a valid passport is required and the ability to be accepted for a US ESTA.
Term of Employment: Permanent with 3 month probation period.

Summary of role
To support or manage design/illustration and brand projects from concept and strategy to art working, whether through your own design skills or by using other specialists when required. Applications without a portfolio will not be considered.
Summary of Responsibilities
- Working on projects that bridge design, brand development, strategic communications, events, film and photography – juggling several design jobs at once.
- They will have the ability to respond to briefs demonstrating original thinking and creative flair.
- They will have strong knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite to be able to offer suitable design and branding results.
- Be a designer across numerous projects with both the Accounts and Events teams. Requirement to help interpret the brief, deliver on milestones and act as key project team member.
- Work with partner digital agency to produce websites etc by providing designs that they can then produce build and code etc for.
- Regular and ongoing communication with our print and various production suppliers to ensure the process from design to delivery is managed smoothly in line with the project manager.
- Setting clear copy and design checking procedures that are fed into lead time and deadlines.
- Regularly turning design projects around in tight deadlines without compromising quality of work.
- Being involved in pitching projects offering bold and innovative design solutions to meet the brief.
- The role will require the Midweight Designer to adapt to and understand various client brand guidelines whilst also being able to create a set of brand guidelines when building a brand from scratch.
- Providing design elements to editor for post-production projects.
- At times managing other design professionals including illustrators and editors to answer briefs and see projects through from start to finish.
- They will have exceptional attention to detail and a real sense of ownership as the projects can be fast paced and at short notice.
- A great communicator is required, someone who understands how to engage with the wider team and keep the communication channels open.
- Be articulate, confident and assertive in presenting work.
- The ability to take initiative and work under pressure whilst keeping a cool head is essential. The environment can move from relaxed to fast paced extremely quickly.
- Helping to develop the Brand Brewery brand.
- Report regularly to team and project managers on projects.
- Engaging and leading team with professionalism.
- Attend training and development programs to increase skill set whilst also keeping abreast of industry trends.
- Time and cost management of projects they are involved in – communicating clearly cost and time implications to the project manager.
- Carry out industry research and help develop the brief with the project team.
- Contribute to team discussions and brainstorms.
- Present effectively in a variety of situations.
- Supplier sourcing and management, when not working with pre-chosen suppliers.
Key Requirements
- BA (Hons) minimum or equivalent in Graphic Design, Exhibition Design or similar field with 2 years professional experience.
- Good working knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.
- Experience in artworking
- Experience of HTML would be beneficial but not essential.
- Knowledge of Vectorworks or Dimension would be beneficial but not essential.
- Ability to create impactful PowerPoint presentations.
- High creativity in concept design skills.
- Illustration or storyboarding skills are a bonus.
- Strong research skills and an ability to spot design trends.
