Bournemouth & Poole College has an exciting opportunity for a Student Finance Advisor to join their team on a part time basis. In returnyou will receive a competitive salary of £17,363 per annum pro rata. Please note that this is an annualised hours contract, and the bulk of the hours will be on a full time basis for the Autumn Term.

About the role:
As our Student Finance Advisor you will ensure, in conjunction with the Student Wellbeing Coordinator, that all applications for Student Finance are assessed within published and agreed turnaround times. You will ensure that students can access and have information on Student Finance information and provide an outstanding Front of House service for Student Experience areas. As well as this, you will provide administration support for other members of the Student Experience team.
Responsibilities as our Student Finance Advisor will include:
- To provide an outstanding Front of House service for Student Experience
- To provide accurate and timely administration to support applications that are made for Student Finance
- To support and assess applications made for Student Finance
- To operate in a flexible manner to provide cover across Students Experience functions
- Deliver high quality customer service to all enquirers in relation to a wide range of Student
- To participate in The College’s appraisal process and to undertake any training that may be appropriate.
- To work with the Student Wellbeing Coordinator on further developments and improvements to the Student Finance processes
- To work with all areas of Student Experience to ensure that there is appropriate levels of support with cross team projects.
As our Student Finance Advisor, you’llideally have:
- Experience of working with young people.
- Knowledge of basic financial, budgetary and accounting procedures.
- Sound general office and administration experience
- Experience and competence of MS Office IT skills
- 5 GCSEs(or equivalent) including Maths and English
- Educated to Level 3 or be willing towards a Level 3 qualification.
