Head of Marketing
Location: Bedfordshire
Our reputable client based in Bedfordshire are currently seeking a dynamic, experienced and inspiring Head of Marketing to join the team on a permanent basis. The successful Head of Marketing will be an expert in their field and have full accountability for shaping the long-term strategy and setting the pace and direction for the marketing of the MBA, EMBA and DBA programmes. It will be the responsibility of the Head of Marketing to develop relationships with senior leaders across the organisation, other marketing teams and with global partners, to ensure our services are promoted effectively and to the right executive audiences. This individual will also be responsible for developing and implementing a strategy with the objective of achieving global brand position and delivering international recruitment targets, as well as driving the wider School of Management marketing agenda.
Key Responsibilities:
Define and lead the 5-year marketing strategy for the MBA, Executive MBA and DBA across all marketing channels, digital and offline.
International figurehead for the organisation at international recruitment and industry events; spokesperson at key international events promoting the MBA, EMBA and DBA programmes and representing the wider organisation on a global scale.
Inspiring leadership and motivator for wider team. Producing and managing outputs against a forecasted plan and ensuring activities are delivered on time and to high standards.
Ownership and reporting of forecasted budget.
Competitor analysis and insight into potential market disruptors to inform the strategic agenda
Management of team including their performance, outcomes, individual development, and health and safety.
Key skills and Experience:
MBA/Degree level qualification or equivalent experience in Management, Leadership, Business or Marketing related subject Evidence of continuing professional development via networks or academic bodies
Significant experience leading strategies for the full marketing mix within higher education or commercial environment
Ability to demonstrate an understanding of the MBA market whether through personal interest or professional experience
Proven experience of managing and inspiring teams
Ability to manage budgets Highest quality in production of marketing outputs
Experience of working at executive committee level to influence the commercial agenda
Experience of managing a global brand, with evidence of growth
