You want to make a real difference in the world by revolutionizing technology in Space. What You’ll Do:We are looking for a Manager, Fixed Assets Accounting to join our Finance team. This position will report directly into our Group Financial Controller and will be responsible for the fixed assets accounting on the ERP system, including capturing the capital work in progress, capitalisation, depreciation, retirement and write offs. They will also be responsible for the completion of all tasks, ensuring timely completion in accordance with established deadlines, and interfacing with other accounting functions, tax, financial planning, and finance leadership as well as other internal and external parties. Responsibilities include: Aggregate and consolidate monthly group accounts following the Company’s consolidation principles and procedures, with the ability to deliver on a tight Company close calendar.Responsible for more complex accounting areas including, but not limited to FX gain/loss, currency translation and equity accounting.Review reconciliation of intercompany account balances, monitor foreign currency movements and adjustments, cash and non-cash settlement of intercompany, address exceptions and communicate to financial reporting manager.Coordinate with GL accounting operations team to maintain the group chart of accounts and synch it with mapping to financial reporting.Assist with reviewing reporting packages of subsidiaries’ financial statements ensuring compliance with all reporting and disclosure requirements under U.S. GAAP, IFRS or other statutory GAAP.Assist with analytical review of significant account balances, monitor movements, report, and address with proper accounting group the proper application of accounting policies.Analyze and perform complex balance sheet account reconciliations including but not limited to consolidated capitalized assets, investment in Subsidiaries, debt financing and equity reserves.Coordinate with external auditors and accounting team to timely provide requested documentation regarding financial statements and accounting treatment for specific transactions. Manage a tight timeline and report exceptions accordingly.Identify, on an ongoing basis, opportunities for better utilization of accounting system, downloads, and interfaces, as well as other process automation tools to improve the close and consolidations process.Assist with preparation of related footnotes for inclusion in the annually audited financial statements, ensuring compliance with all reporting and disclosure requirements under IFRS, as applicable.Assist with monitoring the execution of Company’s accounting policies, technical accounting analyses of non-recurring transactions, and implementation of new accounting policies and updates as needed.Assist with preparation of required government filings, as necessary.Perform special projects as needed. What it Takes: Bachelor’s Degree and an ACA/ ACCAA minimum of 2-6 years of relevant professional experienceProven ability to understand and apply IFRS on the job.Experience of engaging with auditors or experience in working with a reputable audit firmHands-on experience of fixed assets accounting in an asset-intensive, multi-national environment.Use of excel models and accounting software (ERP, Hyperion, Cognos, etc.) to perform aggregation and consolidation.Demonstrable experience of preparing accounting and audit schedules and notes. Must deliver following tight timelines and deadlines.Ability to coordinate between various corporate functional groups.
