This may involve international travel.Be the voice of European securitisation within the paper, being able to pitch story ideas, champion special report ideas and provide insight and a point of collaboration for the rest of the editorial team to make sure GlobalCapital provides novel coverage and is at the forefront of the newest trends and ideas.Provide cover for other market sectors where appropriate to both develop skills and allow the most consistent coverage.Represent the newspaper at industry events both to provide coverage and to enhance its reputation as part of the fabric of the markets it covers.Contribute towards the relevant data and awards products that GlobalCapital produces for the securitisation market.Reporting LinesThe European securitisation reporter will report to the global securitisation editor, the editor and the managing editor.Key InterfacesWorks with a section editor and editor to produce market coverage. Although the global securitisation editor and editor guide the overall direction of coverage and have final say over what is covered, the reporter is expected to drive their own ideas and, indeed, their own workload.Has strong relationships with key people in and around their market sector to provide the sharpest and most insightful coverage. That means having the ability to call people in the market directly rather than having to rely upon press teams and other such gatekeepers.Works with their section editor, the editor, the managing editor and the marketing and production teams to make sure their coverage reaches the biggest possible audience, presented in the best way achievable.
