The Department of Design is home to c1,100 students, supported by an impressive network of exciting design professionals, practitioners and researchers. Home to several areas of world-leading and internationally excellent research we pride ourselves on innovation in teaching and learning, with collaborative opportunities for our students. Our ambition is to be internationally recognised for employing design intelligently to address global challenges, whilst seeking to push the boundaries of research informed design and pedagogy in order to create the agenda setters of the future.

We are now seeking a dynamic Lecturer in Interior Design to contribute to the teaching, research and future development of our undergraduate and postgraduate courses.

The role will involve working with existing colleagues in the BA and MA courses to develop an excellent student experience through exciting project briefs that embed entrepreneurial and employability skills. Knowledge of conceptual and technical approaches key to Interior Design/Interior Architecture practice is essential, together with understanding of industry standard software such as AutoCAD, Vectorworks, Sketch-Up and Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator + InDesign). Knowledge of emerging software such as Fusion 360 and Enscape is desirable.

The successful applicant must also be able to contribute to the employability and positive graduate outcomes of all Interior Design students in the Department of Design.
