Learning Support Assistant – Rochdale
Full time – Temporary to permanent
Starting as soon as possible
Salary - £70.00 to £85.00 per day
Here at Simply Education, we are working with SEND school in Rochdale and they need Learning Support Assistants to join them as soon as possible. The right candidate will need to be a kind and patient individual who is looking to work with young people with learning disabilities.
As a LSA you could expect to work in small groups or on a 1-2-1 basis with pupils with social and emotional needs, ADHD, and ASD. You would work with the pupils inside and outside of the classroom supporting them with a range of activities.
As the successful Learning Support Assistant / Teaching Assistant, you may have had experience working with children for different settings such as;
• Sports coaches
• Swim coaches
• Performing arts coaches
• Clubs – scouts, brownies, etc
• Volunteer reading with children in schools (lots of parents do this)
• 121/PRU work
• Tutoring
• Social workers
• Foster carers
• Family support workers
• Healthcare – some links to SEN
• Police/army cadet trainers
• Summer/activity camps
• Church education
