Advertising Sales Manager / Media ManagerReporting of the Role This role reports to Airports/International DirectorOverview of job The Advertising Sales/Media Manager will use their ability to build and further positive relationships with key partners and influence buy-in to leverage all possible revenue across our Airport Portfolio. You will be a team player who thrives in a highly fluid, agile environment and delivers excellent customer service with innovative sales solutions. This role will require strong day to day management of ongoing relationships whilst also proactively seeking out new business.The role will be responsible for National and Local revenue for Airports, ensuring that we have sales focus on airports to retain current spends and grow existing. It is essential that you work with our key clients daily to ensure that day to day delivery and servicing is at its best.You will work with the Airports/International Director to select key growth clients and find new business opportunities. Using the wider Airports/International Strategy you will identify key Insight pieces that will help grow Airport sales and implement those Insight documents.3 best things about the job Client facing position with responsibility for delivering on airport revenue from our international specialists. You will work closely with the Airport/International Media Managers and Airports/International Senior Innovation Manager to ensure the Airport Strategy is being carried out and that our agencies and specialists are being serviced well!Hugely varied role as you will be sales focused delivering key revenue target whilst being strategic and developing our short- and long-term Insight and Sales strategy.Working with multiple senior partners internally to drive the Airport business forward!Measures of success - In the first few months, you would have: Built a clear New Business Strategy, diarised meetings with relevant contacts at agencies/specialists.Met with all senior partners within Commercial (local and national), Partnerships & Product teams to understand current performance and challenges for Global's Airports.Built positive relationships with all members of specialist teams: understand where briefs are coming from and ensure we are working with relevant teams. More relevant to bigger specialists.Installed regular meetings with key commercial teams internally (CAD's, GAD's, Traders) therefore the Airports can be prioritised and tracked within each team.Identified growth areas/categories that need exploration and identified Insight pieces that need to be built. Build Insight calendar aligned with Airport Strategy, dates for delivery of x4 insight pieces (minimum) over 2022.Work with Airports/International Director to build clear contact strategy across Specialists and relevant International Agency Teams.Responsibilities of the role Deliver revenue targets for Global on Airports. (revenue targets to be given).Work alongside sales team to ensure the right level of focus is applied to Airports - driving new business internally and externally.Detailed understanding of the various contracts and agreements to enable a sales approach designed to deliver revenue to our most profitable airports.Develop strategic approach for new business development and insight creation.Working alongside multiple partners to develop sales and marketing collateral for Airport estate.Ensuring monthly meetings with Specialists & Key International Agency Planners. Working with Airports/International Director on the content for these meetings.Ensuring we have a strong market understanding of what Insight pieces our competitors (namely JCD/LHR) are bringing to market.Continuing day to day servicing of Specialists on airport briefs, there is a requirement to still respond to incoming briefs, but with the support of Media Executive to alleviate the admin side. Working with Group Trading Manager & Head of Innovation to ensure all briefs are responded to, by most relevant team members.Driving sales team to ensure Airport features heavily on both proactive and reactive sales proposals.Proactively seeking out new clients and growing the brand count in Global's Airports.
