Regional Sales Manager – Container / Intermodal Chassis Leasing(Northeast Region)Our client is in the Commercial Equipment Leasing business specializing in motor carrier and rail industry-related intermodal equipment. They are in an aggressive growth pattern, are well funded and profitable. They are looking for key people to help in this growth and reap the benefits. We would like to discuss this opportunity with you if you have solid sales experience in any of the following areas: Truck, trailer, or chassis leasing or salesEquipment or vendor selling to transportation companiesOcean Carrier or 3PL sales This is a key position in the organization. This person will be responsible for the sales performance of this branch location including overseeing the Sales and Marketing effort, communicating with Operations Management on site and communication with the corporate offices.Job Statement The purpose of this position is to manage the sales aspect for the company through effective sales strategies, providing insight to the market within the area, and prospecting and developing new business. The Regional Sales Manager operates with support from inside sales and utilizes our CRM tool daily to maintain constant tracking and follow up to grow and expand our business opportunities. Essential Functions Independently generate new Chassis sales revenue within the assigned regionBuild relationships with current customers to generate and expand on new sales opportunitiesGenerate new leads through independent research of the market and cold calling on prospectsPartner with the inside sales team to effectively close warm leadsResponsible for managing and all customers within the regionTrack and maintain all sales activity using the CRM toolMaintain a solid understanding of current market conditions and business trends to create effective deals for customersParticipate in actively growing the division and exceed corporate initiatives Standard Qualifications Must be authorized to work in the United StatesBachelor’s degree in a business-related field or equivalent experienceFive (5) years in sales or business development in the transportation IndustryExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsWilling to work later than scheduled hoursMust have the ability and willingness to travelDemonstrate a positive and professional imageMust be comfortable in speaking with customers and employees alikeMust be able to work independently and drive success with minimum or no supervisionFlexible and adaptable to the changing workflow and needs of the businessWorking knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)Ability to work multiple projects and maintain a positive attitudeStrong attention to detail with excellent follow-up skills Preferred Qualifications Five (5) years of experience working directly in the Intermodal or Chassis leasing industry Reports to: Regional Sales DirectorTravel Required: 30% - 40%Compensation: Competitive Base Salary (commensurate with experience) Target $80,000.
