Earn up to £250 in an additional supplement payment and £2 an hour paid as overtime during peak trading weeks. Staffline is recruiting for a Warehouse Operative to work in Didcot, with pay parity from day one. The rate of pay is £10.35 - £19.46 per hour. Overtime is available at this site paid at £19.46 per hour. The hours of work are Sunday to Thursday, 2pm to 10pm. * Earn up to £250 in an additional supplement payment with a start date on or before 30th October 2021 when achieving a 97% attendance rate throughout the qualifying period. Also, an additional £2 an hour is paid as overtime during peak trading weeks, 28th November to 1st January. Your Time at WorkAs a Warehouse Operative at this site, you'll be based in a mixed chilled and ambient warehouse environment, which can be as cold as 1-degree celsius. Working across both areas will mean that you'll select meat products, fruits, and vegetables, baked goods, or dairy products and desserts. You'll also work with boxes of flowers and chocolates. The primary duties of the role include using Powered Pallet Trucks (PPT) to pick products from specific locations and stack the items in roll cages. You'll be guided by digital wrist computers (AMC) and trigger scanners. This role includes some heavy lifting and repetitive actions in the picking and stacking of the cages, a high level of attention to detail to ensure accuracy in order picking and awareness of other colleagues whilst using the trucks is required. Your pick rate measures your performance, and you will be expected to meet 100% of your targets by week 8 of your employment. Other duties may include loading and unloading and site hygiene. The contractors will have a full induction to Tesco and the site plus 5 days of training on the AMC0027s and Pallet Trucks which incorporates stacking and loading best practice instructions. Previous experience operating manual handling equipment would be beneficial, however, is not necessary as full training is provided.
