We are looking for an experienced sales trainer who has the passion, experience and know how to inspire sales people to sell Oracle Cloud solutions through outstanding customer engagement. The Oracle Sales and Partner Academy is responsible for delivering industry leading training to field, pre-sales and digital sales staff across the EMEA region.

You’ll need to have proven sales experience (ideally 5 - 10 years), experience in transferring skills as a sales trainer, supported by superior presentation and facilitation skills. Sales leadership experience would be a distinct advantage. You will be practiced in adjusting your delivery style to your audience and know how to apply sales skills to real life sales scenarios by leveraging your own field examples. The role will include delivery across EMEA.

This position is responsible for the EMEA OSPA virtual and in-class delivery of programs/training content.

The Facilitator/Trainer is responsible for the success of their assigned Oracle program/training events and committed to EMEA business. They are expected to participate in the development of plans for continuous personal and professional growth.

The Facilitator/Trainer is expected to master new programs shortly after their implementation. Manage aspects of the program event (i.e. deliverable, instruction, logistic, environment, setup etc.) to ensure success. Produce quality deliverables on a program (i.e. assessments, communication, coaching and documentation).

Demonstrate the ability to teach new material and deliver new sales enabling programs with minimal preparation time and guidance. Meet utilization targets. Able to travel extensively across EMEA (75%)

Responsibility

  • Customizes and delivers Sales Enabling Programs to EMEA Oracle Sales and Sales Consulting organizations.
  • Responsible for delivering training on Sales Skills and Oracle methodologies to sales and sales consulting personnel.
  • Ensures successful delivery of training engagements with a high level of satisfaction.
  • Provides sales or Oracle domain expertise in one or more skills or solution areas.
  • Work with OSPA Global teams, Sales and other counterparts to facilitate training content development and delivery.
  • Become the knowledge expert on areas of delivery.
  • Facilitate meeting or exceeding customer satisfaction targets by delivering quality training in classroom environments and or over the Web.
  • Maintain deep knowledge and skill level while demonstrating expertise for all designated topics, plus additional, complementary topics and/or best practices.
  • Articulate at a granular level a respective concept, capabilities, business value during offerings to both sales and sales consulting audiences.
  • Consult/work with Subject Matter Experts, Sales Performance Designers, etc., in order to deliver the material in an effective and engaging way.
  • Provide analysis and feedback on training events to program teams or management regarding training results. Meet or exceed utilization expectations.
  • Successfully manage the training environment while reporting and resolving issues. Act as subject-matter expert when called upon for curriculum development.
  • Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others.
  • Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization.
  • Recognized as a subject-matter expert within Oracle.

Experiences required

  • A minimum of 4 years work experience in Sales training, Sales and Sales Management, Sales Consulting and Sales Consulting Management or some combination of all (either the training or sales side).
  • Should have prior experience in conducting Training Programs (internal/external) - Knowledge of the dynamics of selling Cloud based technologies and solutions (knowing Oracle Solutions is an advantage).
  • Willingness to continuously upgrade skills into the facilitation and coaching environment will be added advantage.

Provide mentoring, certification of other instructors and related leadership tasks.

Instructor certification in 3 or more different Oracle products/skill courses. Teaches in special situations such as custom courses for specific audiences (Oracle Direct versus Global Business Unit versus Alliances & Channels. Possesses broad industry knowledge.

Job duties are varied and complex utilizing independent judgment. May have project lead role. Excellent presentation, communication and writing skills. Maintain high student satisfaction scores on post-class surveys. Successful completion of instructor certifications/TTT. Certification in 2 or more different Oracle products/skill courses. Mentors other instructors. Ability to lead and motivate in a team environment. Business travel of up to 75 percent annually may be expected of this position. Typically 5 years experience with at least 5 years of sales or sales consulting experience, 2 years of experience teaching at Oracle or another company. Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience.
