Year 5 Teacher - Hounslow, West London - Jan 2022 start until Feb 2022 - Full time - Competitive salary!

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for a full time teacher to cover a year 5 class within a large three form entry primary school in Hounslow, West London. The role will be starting after the Christmas holidays, through until the February half term when a member of staff will be returning from Maternity leave.

The large three form entry school have a mission statement to "Aim High, Learn Together, Feel Proud!". They strive to teach all students the importance of inclusion and diversity, including having a large visual impairment unit that has created an outstanding learning environment for students with complex needs. They have received a 'Good' Ofsted report, seeing that students are incredibly proud to attend the school and they take pride in their achievements in and outside of the classroom.

With a large team in place they offer support for staff to develop and grow all members of staff, including having courses in place to help develop their specialism. The school is located in the heart of Hounslow, connected by multiple train and bus services including being located a 15 minute walk from Osterley station and having an onsite car park. 

What about the role?

This role will involve providing cover from January up until the February half term due to a member of staff not returning from their maternity cover. Your role will include planning and preparing all classroom activities and providing guidance to the support staff within the class. There is a well structured SLT team in place to help support you through the transition to the new class, including being able to get a handover with the current teacher.

This role is full time (Monday to Friday, 8:30-3:30) and may include conducting parents evenings and providing feedback throughout the term to parents, carers and other members of staff.

Ideal candidate?

- Experienced teaching within KS2 classes, ideally year 5. 

- Confident working within a new class and school setting.

- Able to enforce appropriate behaviour management skills throughout the class.

- Flexible to start from January.
